"I met Katy years ago in the same gym. Loved her energy. Fast forward years later, I finally decided to make a change. I have always “ ate healthy “ but I could not figure out why I was not losing weight like I used to. After the Covid 15 plus the working from home, tragic sudden loss of my father and just life in general whatever I did was not working!
I would start and then stop. Eat strict during the week and “ enjoy myself on the weekends “. Too many baseball tournaments and excuses, there was never progress.
I tracked every thing that went into my mouth for a week before to make sure I could commit. That week was such a real eye opener of what I was doing. I joined coach Katy for 6 months! BEST THING EVER!
Some weeks were tough and some weeks were easy. I would check in and she would review my goals, weaknesses and things to work on! At the end of the 6 months, I was down 30lbs and ACTUALLY EATING!!! I went on vacation in the mountains, cruise to Alaska, summer, Thanksgiving, Holidays and still was confident in my food choices and mental health with food.
I have learned so much about food and myself. I am understanding that my “ macros” work for me and not for everyone else. I am gluten free and coach Katy has provided me with ideas and suggestions for gluten free swaps and eat this/ not that. It takes a lot to break the cycle of years and years of knowing what we know and making the change, for good. No trends, no quick fix, just work.
I am happy, I am eating real food and not deprived of all the things I can’t have like before. My body has changed, my running has improved drastically and my workouts are enjoyable.
I am still working with Coach Katy, I have further goals that I want to accomplish. Looking back, she should have been my coach years ago! I was too wrapped up in the “ I don’t need a coach, I know what to do”. I was wrong and happy to be on this journey with Katy!"
